School Council Summit 2012

Schools from the North Huddersfield Learning Community met with School Councils from the Salendine Nook, Almondbury and Royds Hall partnerships to showcase and discuss ‘Our Communities’. Children had the opportunity to talk to pupils and staff from all participating schools, to showcase their own contributions to their community – and find lots of new ideas.

Jubilee Centre 2012

During June 2012, children and staff from 15 schools turned a unit in the Packhorse Shopping Centre, Huddersfield into an impromptu classroom. Children took part in projects led by local artists, with the aim of decorating the unit – and the shopping centre in preparation for the Jubilee celebrations
